We are a UK based Living History Group dedicated to the US Army's 3rd Battalion 22nd Infantry Regiment of the 25th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War
At Echo Regulars LHG our goal is to honor the men who fought in Vietnam and to educate members of the public about what it was like to serve as an Infantryman in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Echo Regulars is dedicated to the 3rd Battalion of the 22nd Infantry who served as part of the 25th (Tropic Lightning) Division.
A downloadable PDF document which gives a short history of the 22nd Infantry Regiment.
When I first started getting back into collecting Vietnam militaria back in the early 2000's I tried to buy an item on eBay from the gentleman in the picture above, his name was Michael wm Kasner .
Michael was a retired US Army Captain who served two tours in Vietnam one of which was as the commander of E Company 3/22 in 1970-71. Unfortunately Michael passed away in 2008 but he will never be forgotten.
Hollywood director Oliver Stone based the 1986 Oscar winning movie Platoon on his experiences of serving as a rifleman in 2nd Platoon, B Company, 3/22 Infantry from September 1967 until February 1968.
We are proud to be affiliated to the UK's biggest Vietnam War Living History Group Rolling Thunder and all of our members are members of Rolling Thunder before joining Echo Regulars.
Regulars by God !
